11 ABSTRACT: An apparatus is mounted in a mounting wall by means of a mounting shell which comprises tongues which are pivoted (bent) about a first axis, The tongues each comprise a mounting portion and a supporting portion, one end of each of the supporting portions bearing against the inner side of the mounting wall. The mounting wall is clamped between the ends of the supporting portions of the tongues and the f1anges or upright edges of the mounting shell, The invention also relates to the mount- ing shell for mounting the described apparatus. The apparatus and the mounting shell in accordance with the invention are particularly suitable for mounting in mounting walls of vehicles or vessels.
