Apparatus for actuating the rod (19) of a presser element (18) of mixing machines of the internal type comprising a lower mixing assembly (10) and an upper structure (15) for feeding of the material, characterized in that it comprises at least one pair of guides (21) arranged opposite each other on the sides (15) of the feed structure parallel to the longitudinal axes of the machine and in a symmetrical position with respect to the latter on the opposite sides of a transverse horizontal axis, at least one pair of cylinders (24) fixed to said guides and having the rod (24a) of the piston connected to a cross-member (22) travelling via rolling means (23a) on said guides (21) and on which the top end of the rod (19) is hinged, said rod also sliding while being guided by a sealing group (25) integral in the axial direction with the cover (15b) of the feed hopper (15) and movable with respect to the latter on a horizontal plane, so as to allow the oscillating movement of the rod (19) with respect to the longitudinal axis of the machine.
