An apparatus configured to form simulated veneer corner products is provided. The apparatus includes a first and second mold segments at least partially defining first and second cavity portions within a forming cavity. The first and second mold segments are configured to be movable from a first to a second relative position after a castable material has been accepted into the first and second cavity portions such that the first and second cavity portions likewise move relative to each other yet remain in communication with each other while moving, and such that the shape of the form ing cavity is changed upon the relative movement of the two mold segments. Various methods of using this and related apparatuses are also provided.
