A technique to replicate unicast flows is described. A plurality of unicast control flows are received at a network element from a plurality of clients. One of the unicast control flows is forwarded to a server. A unicast content flow is received from the server at the network element in response to forwarding the one of the unicast control flows. The unicast content flow is replicated at the network element as a plurality of replicated unicast content flows for transmission to the plurality of clients.

L'invention concerne une technique permettant la copie exacte de flux de diffusion à destination unique. Plusieurs flux de commande de diffusion à destination unique émanant de plusieurs clients sont reçus au niveau d'un élément réseau. Un des flux de contrôle de diffusion à destination unique est retransmis à un serveur. Un flux de contenu de diffusion à destination unique émanant du serveur est reçu au niveau de l'élément réseau en réaction à la retransmission dudit flux de contrôle de diffusion. Le flux de contenu de diffusion à destination unique est reproduit au niveau de l'élément réseau en tant qu'une pluralité de flux de contenus de diffusion à destination unique reproduits pour la transmission à la pluralité de clients.
