A low cost and efficient system for magnetic ink character recognition provides a magnetic image over a non-magnetic toned image which can be an on-line or off-line component of an imaging apparatus. Magnetic ink is applied to selected characters from a thin film that includes a magnetic media by utilizing a heater member to promote release of the magnetic ink to the previously toned characters.
Cette invention concerne un système efficace et économique de reconnaissance magnétique de caractères qui réalise une image magnétique au-dessus d'une image révélée non magnétique qui peut être un élément en ligne ou autonome d'un appareil d'imagerie. L'encre magnétique est appliquée à des caractères choisis à partir d'une couche mince qui comprend un agent magnétique au moyen d'un élément chauffant servant à libérer l'encre magnétique vers les caractérès précédemment révélés.
