Method for reducing corrosion of alloy components in a water cooled nuclear reactor or associated components comprising the step of injecting into the water of the reactor in the presence of zinc a noble metal cation-releasing compound which releases noble metal cations or cationic species containing noble metal species into the reactor water under operating reactor thermal conditions.

Cette invention concerne un procédé qui permet de réduire la corrosion de pièces en alliage dans un réacteur nucléaire refroidi par eau ou autres organes connexes. Ce procédé consiste à injecter dans l'eau du réacteur, en présence de zinc, un composé libérant des cations de métal noble, ou bien une espèce cationique renfermant un métal noble dans l'eau du réacteur dans les conditions thermiques régnant pendant la marche.
