A method and device for applying sheet material, such as wallpaper, to a substrate. The applicator is bi-positionable, having a first position where the sheet material is spaced apart from the substrate and a second position where the sheet material contacts the substrate. Additionally or alternatively, the applicator may be provided with a control bar. In the first position, the control bar contacts a portion of the sheet material such as its free end. This minimizes the chance of the sheet material prematurely contacting the substrate. In the second position, the sheet material is disengaged from the control bar for application to the substrate. The applicator and sheet material may be provided together in a kit.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé pour appliquer un matériau en feuille, tel qu'un papier peint, sur un substrat. L'applicateur est positionnable de deux manières, présentant une première position où le matériau en feuille est espacé du substrat et une seconde position où le matériau en feuille entre en contact avec le substrat. De plus ou en variante, l'applicateur peut être doté d'une barre de commande. Dans la première position, la barre de commande entre en contact avec une partie du matériau en feuille telle son extrémité libre. Ceci minimise le risque que le matériau en feuille n'entre prématurément en contact avec le substrat. Dans la seconde position, le matériau en feuille est désengagé de la barre de commande pour une application sur le substrat. L'applicateur et le matériau en feuille peuvent être livrés ensemble dans un équipement.
