An applicator primarily for applying colorants and other treatments to hair comprises a container (2) to which is mounted, preferably releasably, a reservoir (4) for the treatment fluid, the reservoir (4) being provided with at least two, and preferably between six and ten nozzles (10), the bores (14) of which communicate with the interior of the reservoir (4) whereby fluid can be expelled from the reservoir (4) through the nozzles (10) and onto the hair in a controlled manner. The applicator is particularly convenient for applying several narrow bands of colour in the form of "highlights" or "lowlights" to the hair.
