IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO APPLIQUE MACHINES ABSTRACT This invention relates to an embroidery and applique machine having a number of speeder modules each adapted for the supply of an article such as a sequin to be appliqued in alignment with a needle characterised by the speeder modules being mounted on one or more carriages for movement therewith, motor means for moving said carriage with respect to said needles and indexing means for controlling the movement of the carriage between any one of a number of positions in which modules are in register with said needles for the supply of articles in alignment with a needle. The invention provides for a number of carriages, positions relative to the needles and includes a lock motion detent to enable the modules on the carriage to register with the needles irrespective of the direction of movement to contact the abutment.
