An aquarium water heater (10) includes a hollow heat-conducting internal tube (12) with an electric resistance heater element (14) and electrical connection disposed adjacent an outer surface of the follow heat-conducting internal tube, a temperature thermal cut-out switch (18) electrically connected to the heater element for overheat protection, and a heat-conducting, electrically insulating polymeric filler (22) spaced between the internal tube and an external tube that circumscribes the internal tube and the heater element. The aquarium water heater also includes a water temperature sensor (76) that senses the temperature of water into which the heater is at least partially immersible, electrically coupled to a controller (70) to activate and deactivate the heater element and to an indicator (24) that indicates a condition that corresponds to the water temperature being in between a first predetermined minimum temperature and a first predetermined maximum temperature and a different indicating pattern corresponding to the water temperature dropping below a second predetermined minimum temperature or exceeding a second predetermined maximum temperature.
L~invention concerne un chauffe-eau (10) d~aquarium, comportant un tube interne creux caloporteur (12) comportant un élément chauffant par résistance électrique (14) et un raccord électrique en position adjacente à une surface extérieure du tube interne creux caloporteur, un thermocontact (18) raccordé électriquement à l~élément chauffant pour en assurer la protection en cas de surchauffe, et une charge polymère caloporteuse électriquement isolante (22) placée entre le tube interne et un tube externe qui entoure le tube interne et l~élément chauffant. Le chauffe-eau d~aquarium comporte en outre une sonde de température d~eau (76) qui détecte la température de l~eau dans laquelle le chauffe-eau peut être au moins partiellement immergé, et couplée électriquement à un module de commande (70) afin d~activer et de désactiver l~élément chauffant et à un indicateur (24) qui indique un état correspondant à une température de l~eau comprise entre une première valeur minimale prédéterminée et une première valeur maximale prédéterminée ainsi qu~un type d~indication différent correspondant à une chute de la température en deça d~une deuxième valeur minimale prédéterminée ou à une montée de la température au-dessus d~une deuxième valeur maximale prédéterminée.
