ABSTRACT The present invention is concerned with aqueous coating compositions for wood surfaces which can be used to obtain clear open-pore or closed pore coatings. The coatings are based on polymer dispersions containing N-methylol acrylamide units, which optionally can be processed together with a basic paint based on a water soluble acrylic copolymer.
