Abstract of the Disclosure An aqueous dispersion of an acrylic polymer comprising acrylic polymer particles dispersed in an aqueous medium in which aqueous dispersion the acrylic polymer particles are composite particles composed of the core part and skin layer part of acrylic polymers having mutually different glass transition temperatures. The aqueous dispersion is useful for preparation of an aqueous coating composition excellent in normal-tempera- ture and low-temperature resistance to chipping.
