The present invention is directed to an aqueous dispersion composition which comprises an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid ionomer resin (A) neutralized with a mixture of ions including at least one divalent metal ion and at least one ammonium ion, (B) a non-water soluble vapor phase corrosion inhibitor, and (C) water. The dispersion exhibits good shelf-life and excellent rust-prevention properties. Durable corrosion resistant ionomeric coatings can be easily formed therefrom, which when applied to metal surfaces and baked, can form a rust-preventive coating layer showing excellent coating adhesion both to the metal surface and to an over coat paint. Such coatings are particularly useful when applied to a vehicle body or part thereof.
La présente invention concerne une composition dispersion aqueuse qui comprend : (A) une résine ionomère à acide carboxylique insaturé du point de vue de l'éthylène, qui est neutralisée avec un mélange d'ions comprenant au moins un ion métallique bivalent et au moins un ion ammonium ; (B) un inhibiteur de corrosion en phase vapeur non soluble dans l'eau ; et (C) de l'eau. La dispersion a une durée de conservation importante et d'excellentes propriétés antirouille. Des revêtements ionomères à résistance à la corrosion durable peuvent facilement être obtenus à partir de cette dispersion, et peuvent former, lorsqu'ils sont appliqués sur des surfaces métalliques et cuits, une couche de revêtement antirouille ayant une excellente adhérence à la surface métallique et à une couche extérieure de peinture. De tels revêtements s'avèrent particulièrement utiles lorsqu'ils sont appliqués sur une carrosserie de véhicule ou une partie de celle-ci.
