AQUEOUS DISPERSIONS OF PERFLUOROALKYL ESTERS FOR TREATING TEXTILES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Dry soil resistance and nonflame propagating characteristics are insured in textile fibers by applying thereto an aqueous dispersion containing at least 5 weight percent of a perfluoroalkyl ester of a carboxylic acid of from 3 to 30 carbon atoms. After the dispersion is applied, the fibers are dried at between 120° to 170°C.
