An aqueous drug composition having property of reversible thermosetting gelation for ophthalmic, dermatological and body cavitical use which comprises effective amount of drugs used for pharmaceutical therapy or diagnosis, methylcellulose, citric acid and polyethylene glycol and has a pH of 3 to 10, characterized in that said aqueous drug composition is fluid liquid before administration or application and forms gel at a body temperature of a local region immediately after administration or application.
L'invention concerne une composition médicamenteuse à base d'eau, se transformant en gel, de façon réversible, sous l'action de la chaleur, destinée à être utilisée en ophtalmologie, en dermatologie et pour traiter les cavités du corps. Ladite composition comprend une dose efficace d'un médicament de traitement ou de diagnostic pharmacologique, de la méthylcellulose, de l'acide citrique et du polyéthylène glycol, et son pH peut être de 3 à 10. Cette composition est extrêmement fluide avant son administration ou son application, mais elle se transforme rapidement en gel sous l'effet de la température du corps, à l'emplacement concerné, après son administration ou son application.
