Bath with a pH of over 4 containing more than 1 mole/litre of Zn2+ ions and at least one polyethylene glycol polymer of the general formula R1-O-(CH2-CH2-O)n-R2, where n ~ 13 and where the concentration of polymer in the bath is adjusted to incorporate into the coating an organic compound at a % by weight of over 0.1%, expressed as weight of carbon relative to weight of coating. This bath is designed for high current densities and the coating applied on the sheet steel provides both a levelling effect and improved corrosion resistance.

Bain à pH supérieur à 4 contenant plus de 1 mole/litre d'ions Zn2+ et au moins un polymère polyéthylène-glycol répondant à la formule générale R1-O-(CH2-CH2-O)n-R2, où notamment n ~ 13 et où la concentration du polymère dans le bain est adaptée pour incorporer dans le revêtement un composé organique à une teneur pondérale supérieure à 0,1%, exprimée en poids de carbone par rapport au poids du revêtement. Ce bain est adapté à des fortes densités de courant et le revêtement appliqué sur tôle d'acier apporte à la fois un effet nivelant et une amélioration de la résistance à la corrosion.
