A dosage form is disclosed comprising a cured emulsion coat that surrounds a drug. The emulsion comprises a lower alkyl acrylate-lower alkyl methacrylate copolymer and ethyl cellulose. The emulsion optionally comprises a hydrophilic polymer. The invention also provides an osmotic device comprising: (a) a wall comprising a cured emulsion, said emulsion comprising a lower alkylacrylate-lower methacrylate wherein the lower alkyl comprises 1 to 7 carbon atoms and ethylcellulose, which wall surrounds; (b) a compartment; (c) a therapeutically effective amount of drug in the compartment; and, (d) at least one passageway in the wall connecting the exterior with the interior of the device for delivering the drug over time.
