Abstract of the Disclosure An aqueous emulsion rust inhibitor having an excellent rust inhibiting effect and capable of providing a hard, nonsticky coating, comprising (a) a salt of a higher aliphatic carboxylic acid with a heterocyclic compound selected from morpholine, its derivatives, pyridine and its derivatives, (b) an oil-soluble anti-rust agent selected from an alkaline earth metal salt of a higher aliphatic carboxylic acid, aromatic and aliphatic sulfonic acids, alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts of aromatic and aliphatic sulfonic acids, an oxidized paraffin, and alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts of oxidized paraffin, and (c) an inorganic pigment.
