The aim of the invention is to substantially reduce the emission of NOx and soot when diesel oils are burnt. To this end, an emulsifier system is used that contains branched, saturated or unsaturated fatty alcohols with 12 to 24 C atoms and ethoxylated fatty alcohols with 8 to 24 C atoms and 1 to 10 mole ethylene oxide per mole fatty alcohol.

Selon l'invention, grâce à l'introduction dans des carburants diesel aqueux de systèmes émulsifiants contenant des alcools gras ramifiés, saturés ou insaturés, présentant 12 à 24 atomes de C, et d'alcools gras éthoxylés présentant 8 à 24 atomes de C et 1 à 10 mol d'oxyde d'éthylène par mol d'alcool gras, l'émission de NO¿x? et de suie pendant la combustion est nettement réduite.
