Provided is a receiving medium comprising a substrate and an ink receiving layer provided thereon, said ink receiving layer comprising a blend of an ethylene vinylacetate copolymer and a hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. The ink receiving layer preferably further comprises a solid particulate such as silica or calcium silicate. Also provided is a process for providing a water resistant ink jet print by attaching droplets of a recording liquid on a recording medium, said recording medium comprising an ink receiving layer provided on a substrate with the ink receiving layer comprising a blend of an ethylene vinylacetate copolymer and a hydrolyzed polyvinylalcohol.
Le support d'impression jet d'encre faisant l'objet de la présente invention contient un support recouvert d'une couche recevant l'encre et comprenant un mélange de copolymère de vinylacétate éthylique et d'alcool de polyvinyle hydrolysé. De plus, la couche recevant l'encre comprend de préférence un corps particulaire solide tel que de la silice ou du silicate de calcium. La présente invention concerne également un procédé permettant d'obtenir une impression jet d'encre résistant à l'eau, ce procédé consistant à joindre des gouttelettes d'un liquide d'impression sur un support d'impression, ce dernier comprenant sur le support une couche recevant l'encre. Cette couche contient un mélange d'un copolymère de vinylacétate éthylique et de polyvinylalcool hydrolysé.
