An aqueous ink-jet ink composition for MICR applications is provided comprising a metal oxide pre-dispersion combined with an aqueous ink-jet ink composition, wherein the metal oxide pre-dispersion contains metal oxide pigment or particles of a very small particle size, at least one surfactant to aid in the dispersion of the metal oxide particles. Particularly, the surfactant component is a combination of an anionic surfactant and an anionic- nonionic surfactant, or may be a combination of other types of surfactants.

L'invention concerne une composition d'encre d'impression par jet d'encre aqueuse destinée à des applications MICR et comprenant une pré-dispersion d'oxyde métallique combinée avec une composition d'encre d'impression par jet d'encre aqueuse. La pré-dispersion d'oxyde métallique contient des particules ou un pigment d'oxyde métallique présentant une dimension des particules très petite et au moins un tensioactif favorisant la dispersion des particules d'oxyde métallique. Plus particulièrement, le constituant tensioactif est une combinaison d'un tensioactif anionique et d'un tensioactif anionique non ionique, ou peut être une combinaison d'autres types de tensioactifs.
