An aqueous metal surface treatment composition comprising the following ingredients : (A) an aqueous dispersion of a phenolic resin that includes a reaction product of (i) a phenolic resin precursor; (ii) a modifying agent, comprising a hydrocarbyl moiety bonded to at least one functional moiety that enables the modifying agent to react with the phenolic resin precursor; and at least one ionic moiety comprising an ionizable sulfur or phosphorous group; and (iii) at least one multi-hydroxyphenolic compound; and (B) optionally an acid where (iii) in (A) is optional where the reaction product contains two or more reactive phenolic methylol groups.
L'invention concerne une composition aqueuse de traitement de surfaces métalliques, qui comprend: a) une dispersion aqueuse d'une résine phénolique contenant un produit de réaction i) d'un précurseur de la résine phénolique, ii) d'un agent modificateur comprenant un fragment hydrocarbyle lié à au moins un groupe fonctionnel qui permet à l'agent modificateur de réagir avec le précurseur de la résine phénolique, et au moins un fragment ionique comprenant un soufre ionisable ou un groupe phosphorique, et iii) d'au moins un composé hydroxyphénolique à plusieurs constituants; et b) éventuellement un acide dans lequel l'élément iii) de a) est facultatif lorsque le produit de réaction contient deux ou plusieurs groupes methylol phénoliques.
