As emulsifiers there are particularly suitable water-soluble salts of alkane phosphonic acids or of alkane phosphonic acid-monoalkyl esters. Said salts may also be used in combination with other surface-active compounds. The plastics dispersion obtained is used above all as a binder for pigments and fillers in dispersion paints.
