A method for forming a heat sealable coating on a substrate, wherein the substrate is formed from at least one oriented polymer is shown. The method includes depositing an aqueous polymer dispersion on the substrate, wherein the aqueous polymer dispersion includes (A) at least one thermoplastic resion; (B) at least one dispersing agent; and (C) water; wherein the dispersion has a pH of less than 12, and drying the dispersion to form a first layer.

L'invention concerne une méthode de formation d'un revêtement thermoscellable sur un substrat constitué d'au moins un polymère orienté. La méthode consiste à déposer sur le substrat une dispersion polymère aqueuse comprenant: a) au moins une résine thermoplastique; b) au moins un agent dispersant; et c) de l'eau; ladite dispersion présentant un pH inférieur à 12. La méthode consiste ensuite à sécher la dispersion afin de former une première couche.
