ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hotmelt adhesive composition comprising a permanently tacky hot-melt adhesive in the form of granulates, pellets, cubes or flakes coated with an antiadhesive quantity of a release agent consisting essentially of (a) at least one of an aliphatic alcohol having at least two hydroxy groups and containing from 3 to 7 carbon atoms, or (b) at least one hydroxy aliphatic dicarboxylic or tricarboxylic acid or water-soluble salt thereof, or (c) a mixture of (a) and (b). There is also described a method for the temporary antiadhesive surface finishing of tacky pellets, granulates, cubes or flakes of hotmelt adhesives using the release agent.
