ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In the production of chlorinated hydrocarbons, a waste water stream is recovered from the effluent and stripped of chlorinated hydrocarbon impurities by the use of a portion of the hydrocarbon to be chlorinated as a stripping gas.
