The present invention relates to a method for preparing an aqueous gel based on metronidazole, comprising the successive steps consisting in: (A) forming a solvent medium M comprising water and propylene glycol; (B) dissolving the metronidazole in this solvent medium M, and optionally diluting the medium obtained by addition of water, whereby a solution S of metronidazole is obtained; and then (C) mixing the solution S obtained with a gelling polymer, in a sufficient quantity to ensure gelling of the composition. The invention also relates to the aqueous gels of high stability which may be obtained according to this method, and the use of these gels as dermatological compositions .
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de préparation d'un gel aqueux à base de métronidazole, comprenant les étapes suivantes consistant à: (A) former un milieu solvant M contenant de l'eau et du propylène glycol; (B) à dissoudre le métronidazole dans ce milieu solvant M, et à diluer éventuellement ce milieu obtenu par addition d'eau, ceci permettant l'obtention d'une solution S de métronidazole; et (C) à mélanger ensuite la solution S obtenue à un polymère gélifiant, en quantité suffisante pour assurer la gélification de la composition. L'invention se rapport également à des gels aqueux dotés d'une grande stabilité, qui peuvent être obtenus conformément à ce procédé, ainsi qu'à l'utilisation de ces gels en tant que compositions dermatologiques.
