Abstract of the Invention An arc by-product evacuation and neutralization system is disclosed. The system includes a vacuum cleaner having an input port for receiving air containing powdery arc by- products. The vacuum cleaner also includes a non-corrosive plastic tank containing an alkaline solution for neutraliz- ing the powdery arc by-products. The neutralization is achieved by jet action causing the alkaline solution to be agitated thereby absorbing the powdery arc by-products.
