The invention disclosure relates to novel archaeosomes, and the use of archaeosomes, for the enhanced delivery of pharmaceutical and other compounds to specific cell types and tissues in animals and other life-forms. The efficacy of the archaeosomes and of conventional liposomes can be further enhanced by incorporation of coenzyme Q10 and/or polyethylene glycol into the respective vesicles. Other coenzymes or vitamins, such as vitamin E, which have immunostimulatory properties may be included, or substituted for, CoQ10. This invention also relates to the use of these vesicles in vaccine formulations, as adjuvants and/or delivery vehicles, for enhancing the immune response to immunogens in animals such as a human.

Nouveaux archéosomes et leur utilisation pour l'apport amélioré de produits pharmaceutiques et autres composés dans des tissus et des types de cellules spécifiques chez les animaux et d'autres types d'organismes vivants. L'efficacité de ces archéosomes et des liposomes classiques peut être davantage améliorée par l'incorporation de la coenzyme Q10 et/ou du polyéthylène glycol dans les vésicules respectives.
