A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU 10) and a method used in a WTRU for controlling wireless communication Packet Switched (PS) data flow on radio access bearers (RABs) between a radio link controller (RLC 18) and an Internet Protocol Relay (IPR 16, 26). A combined Radio Access Bearer Manager/Packet Data Convergence Protocol (RABM/PDCP 12) component provides interface control with a Session Manager (SM 14) and a radio resource center (RRC 17) such that the processing of PS data and control of each RAB is associated with the processing of PS data and control of a single radio bearer (RB).

L'invention concerne une unité d'émission-réception sans fil (WTRU 10) et un procédé utilisé dans une WTRU pour commander un flux de données avec commutation par paquets (PS) sans fil sur des supports d'accès radioélectriques, (RAB) entre un organe de commande de liaison radioélectrique (RLC 18) et un relais à protocole Internet (IPR 16, 26). Un composant combiné de gestionnaire de supports d'accès radioélectrique/protocole de convergence de données en paquets (RABM/PDCP 12) assure l'interface avec un gestionnaire de session (SM 14) et un centre de ressources radioélectriques (RRC 17), de manière à associer le traitement des données PS et la commande de chaque RAB au traitement et à la commande des données PS d'un seul support radioélectrique (RB).
