ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An armature for an electric rotary machine, comprising a laminated iron core including a plurality of slots, and teeth, alternately disposed in the cylindrical surface of the iron core, windings placed in said slots, and anchors for preventing the windings placed in the slots from being displaced, wherein the anchors are formed by deforming the end portions of the teeth, while preliminarily forming a through hole extending through the end portion of each tooth.
