The winding station includes an armature lifting assembly which extends upwardly through openings in a pallet on a conveyor, to lift an unwound armature on the pallet into alignment with an indexing collet on one of preferably two or more loading/indexing assemblies, spaces radially apart and slidably mounted on a turret assembly which is rotatably mounted on a base. The turret assembly rotates to carry an armature in the indexing collet to the winder for winding. During the winding cycle, the next unwound armature may be loaded into the indexing collet of another loading/indexing assembly. After winding, the turret assembly rotates so that the wound armature can undergo additional processing or be returned to a pallet, and so that a new unwound armature can be presented to the winder. The indexing collet retains the armature throughout winding and indexes it rotationally as required for winding. The winder may support but does not itself grasp or index the armature.
Tête de bobinage comprenant un ensemble élévateur d'induit qui s'étend vers le haut par des ouvertures dans la palette d'un convoyeur. On peut ainsi lever un induit déroulé sur la palette, en alignement avec une douille de positionnement sur un ou préférablement deux ou plusieurs ensembles de chargement-positionnement espacés radialement et fixés de façon coulissante sur un ensemble tourelle pivotant sur une base. L'ensemble tourelle pivote pour transporter un induit dans la douille de positionnement vers l'enrouleur pour le bobinage. Durant le cycle de bobinage, le prochain induit déroulé peut être chargé dans la douille de positionnement d'un autre ensemble de chargement-positionnement. Après le bobinage, l'ensemble tourelle pivote pour que l'induit enroulé puisse subir un traitement supplémentaire ou être retourné à une palette, et afin qu'un nouvel induit déroulé puisse être acheminé à l'enrouleur. La douille de positionnement retient l'induit durant le bobinage et le positionne au besoin par rotation. L'enrouleur peut soutenir l'induit, mais ce n'est pas lui qui le saisit ni le positionne.
