The invention provides novel PGP analogs. In particular, the present invention relates to compounds having a structure according to formula (I): wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, X, and Z are as defined. This invention also includes optical isomers, diastereomers and enantiomers of said formula, and pharmaceutically-acceptable salts, biohydrolyzable amides, esters, and imides thereof. The compounds of the present invention are useful for the treatment of a variety of diseases and conditions, such as bone disorders and glaucoma. Accordingly, the invention further provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds. The invention still further provides methods of treatment for bone disorders and glaucoma using these compounds or the compositions containing them.
Cette invention se rapporte à de nouveaux analogues de prostaglandine F (PGF), en particulier à des composés représentés par la structure ayant la formule (I), où R1, R2, R3, R4, X et Z sont définis dans les pièces descriptives de l'invention. Cette invention se rapporte également à des isomères optiques, à des diastéréomères et à des énantiomères des composés de cette formule, ainsi qu'à des sels, des amides biohydrolysables, des esters et des imides de ces composés, acceptables sur le plan pharmaceutique. Ces composés sont utiles dans le traitement d'une grande variété de maladies et d'états pathologiques, tels que les dysfonctionnements osseux et le glaucome. De même, cette invention propose des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant ces composés, ainsi que des procédés de traitement des dysfonctionnements osseux et du glaucome au moyen de ces composés ou au moyen des compositions contenant ces composés.
