ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to phenoxy-propanes havlnq the formula Image in which R1 and R2 are like or unlike and each is an alkyl group haning 1-4 carbon atom3, R3 is hyaroqen or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, R4 is a halogen atom, preferably fluorine, chlorine or bromine, including their optical isomers and also their adaition salts with acids. These compounds are of therapeutic value in the treatment of cardiovascular conditions and are formed by reacting an aromatic hydroxyketone of the formula: Image with a 1-halo-2,3-epoxy propane in the presence of an acid acceptor, and reactinq the resulting ether product with a primary amine of the formuln R1NH2.
