An aromatic polyamide resin molding having a root-mean-square roughness of not less than 1.0 nm and a 10-point mean roughness of not more than 80 nm as measured on at least one surface thereof by interatomic force microscopy and a Young's modulus in tension of not less than 9.8 GPa. The molding is suitable as a film having excellent scraping resistance and evenness on the surface protrusions, particularly as a film for magnetic recording media.

Cette invention se rapporte à un objet moulé en résine de polyamide aromatique ayant une rugosité en moyenne quantique ne dépassant pas 1,0 nm et une rugosité moyenne en 10 points ne dépassant pas 80 nm, telles que mesurées sur au moins une de ses surfaces par microscopie à force interatomique, ainsi qu'un module de Young en tension ne dépassant pas 9,8 GPa. Cet objet moulé est approprié comme film de revêtement ayant une excellente résistance aux rayures et une excellente uniformité au niveau des saillies de surface, en particulier comme film de revêtement pour des supports d'enregistrement magnétiques.
