The invention relates to a process for producing alkylated aromatics, preferably ethylbenzene, in a multiple bed reactor in which at least two catalysts, each comprising a molecular sieve, are used in sequential beds. The first alkylation catalyst is selected to have a higher activity or alpha value than the subsequent alkylation catalyst.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à la production de composés aromatiques alkylés, de préférence de l'éthylbenzène, dans un réacteur à lits multiples dans lequel au moins deux catalyseurs, comportant chacun un tamis moléculaire, sont utilisés dans une séquence de lits. Le premier catalyseur d'alkylation est sélectionné de façon à avoir une valeur alpha ou une activité supérieure à celle du catalyseur d'alkylation suivant.
