An improved process for the recovery of aromatic compounds from a mixture containing aromatic and non-aromatic compounds and method for retrofitting existing equipment for the same is provided. The improved process comprises the steps of recovering aromatic compounds via parallel operation of a hybrid extractive distillation/liquid-liquid extractor operation and variations thereof. Methods of quickly and economically retrofitting existing recovery process equipment for use with the improved aromatics recovery process are also disclosed.
L'invention concerne un processus amélioré de récupération de composés aromatiques à partir d'un mélange renfermant des composés aromatiques et des composés non aromatiques. L'invention concerne également un procédé de mise à niveau de l'équipement existant pour mettre en oeuvre un tel processus. Le processus amélioré de récupération consiste à récupérer des composés aromatiques, grâce par exemple à la mise en oeuvre parallèle d'une colonne de distillation extractive et d'un extracteur liquide-liquide existant. L'invention concerne enfin des procédés de mise à niveau à la fois rapides et économiques des dispositifs d'extraction existants, destinés à être utilisés selon le présent processus amélioré de récupération de composés aromatiques.
