ABSTRACT An arrangement for directing a jet of fluid includes a nozzle (l) mounted for pivoting in two mutually perpendicular planes, a first hydraulic actuating ram (7) for effecting movement of the nozzle in one plane, a second hydraulic actuating ram (8) for effecting movement of the nozzle in the other plane and means for controlling automatically the rams. These means include a control unit (A) including a microprocessor (23), in which unit can be stored a representation of a movement pattern for the nozzle which can be read out for controlling automatically the rams.
