Agencement et procédé de communication entre unités (1,2A, 2B ...), supports de mode circuit, interconnectées en point-à-point en un sous-réseau au coeur d'une installation de communication. Les liaisons point-à-point (L1, L4) entre unités sont structurées physiquement et régies temporellement de manière identique. Un circuit de communication est incorporé dans chaque unité du sous-réseau, quelle soit du type unité de commande, unité auxiliaire ou coupleur pour postes téléphoniques et/ou terminaux de communication. Ce circuit de communication assure la diffusion, par les liaisons point-à-point vers les autres unités, des informations provenant de liaisons multiplexes temporelles reliées à lui, ainsi que la commutation des octets parvenant à son intention par ces liaisons.
