ABSTRACT: Arrangement for biasing high-frequency active components, more specifically field effect transistors, in the form of a power supply circuit intended to apply a direct biasing current to a high-frequency active component which is arranged in series with the main transmission line via a transmission line section pro- vided between the circuit and a main transmission line and which has in the junction where it is connected to the main transmission line an impedance which is suffici- ently high to prevent the useful high-frequency signal flowing in the main line from being conveyed to the power supply circuit while allowing the transmission of the direct current produced by the circuit. The arrange- ment comprises a filter, which is a bandpass filter with respect to the useful high-frequency signal and is formed by two conductive strips which are arranged in parallel with the main transmission line, symmetrically on both sides of the junction between the line section and the main line. These strips are situated at a dis- tance from the junction equal to approximately one- eighth wavelength of the useful high-frequency signal. Used for biasing all types of high-frequency active components and more specifically components in systems for receiving television signals transmitted by satellites.
