A B S T R A C T An arrangement for dismounting and mounting a pump (4) fixed to a tank without emptying the tank, wherein the housing (5) of the pump is connected to a flange of the outlet in the wall (1) and a rotor (6) disposed in the housing extends through the opening into the tank. In the housing (5) or in its extension (21) there is a cylindrical surface (10) the diameter of which is bigger than the biggest outer diameter (19) of the rotor. A member (9) connected to the bearing (7) of the rotor is disposed sealingly inside the cylindrical surface of the rotor and said member is axially movable, maintaining its sealing contact with said surface, a distance longer than the length (L) of the part of the rotor inside the tank. It also comprises closing means (14) which can be moved in front of the inlet (16) of the pump. Fig. 7
