An interactive display arrangement in a telephone terminal permits direct movement between unrelated child menu screens in a menu hierarchy. The arrangement is configured such that a user may advance directly from a displayedfirst child menu screen to an unrelated second child menu screen in the menu hierarchy, in order to perform specific tasks at the second child menu screen. Once the tasks at the second menu screen are completed or the user elects not to perform such tasks, the arrangement permits the user to return directly to the first child menu screen. The user of the telephone terminal thus is able to easily complete specific tasks at selected menu screens in the interactive display arrangement without the need for excessive movement in the menu hierarchy.

L'invention est un dispositif d'affichage interactif pour poste téléphonique qui permet les déplacements directs entre des menus secondaires non liés dans une hiérarchie de menus. Le dispositif de l'invention est configuré de façon à permettre à l'utilisateur de passer directement d'un menu secondaire affiché à un deuxième menu secondaire non lié au premier dans la hiérarchie de menus pour exécuter des tâches particulières dans ce deuxième menu. Quand ces tâches on été exécutées ou quand l'utilisateur décide de ne pas les exécuter, le dispositif permet à l'utilisateur de revenir directement au premier menu secondaire. L'utilisateur d'un poste téléphonique peut donc facilement exécuter des tâches particulières dans des menus sélectionnés sur l'affichage interactif sans déplacements excessifs dans la hiérarchie de menus.
