An arrangement for lowering the noise level in connection with a cooling layer in a pulp dryer having a heat-insulated bottom wall and top wall constituting a sound-attenuating construction and a wall at the inlet side of the cooling layer also constituting a sound-attenuating construction. At the outlet side of the air flow from the cooling layer in the pulp dryer, sound-attenuation baffles are arranged preferably perpendicular to or inclined in relation to the direction of the air flow and which are placed at a distance from one another.

La présente invention a pour objet un aménagement permettant d'abaisser le niveau de bruit dans la section de refroidissement d'un séchoir de pulpe dont la paroi de fond est calorifugée et la paroi supérieure est une construction de type atténuateur de son; la paroi du côté admission de la section de refroidissement étant également une construction de type atténuateur de son. Du côté sortie du débit d'air de la section de refroidissement du séchoir de pulpe, des chicanes d'insonorisation sont disposées à une certaine distance l'une de l'autre et, de préférence, perpendiculairement ou selon un certain angle par rapport à direction du débit d'air.
