The invention relates to a method for positioning a rock drilling rig to a drilling site and a rock drilling rig. In positioning the rock drilling rig (1) is driven to the positioning station (12) such that its carrier (2) is at desired distances from wall surfaces (13) surrounding the drilling site. For positioning the rig is provided with distance measuring devices (11). Navigation is not started until positioning has been performed and in navigation the location of the rock drilling rig is linked to the coordinate system of the drilling site.
L~invention concerne un procédé d~implantation d~un appareil de forage de roches sur un site de forage, et un appareil de forage de roches. Lors de son implantation, l~appareil de forage de roches (1) est amené jusqu~à un poste d~implantation (2) de façon à placer son support (2) à des distances souhaitées des surfaces de paroi (13) entourant le site de forage. L~appareil de forage de roches (1) est équipé de dispositifs de mesure de distance (11) utilisés pour réaliser son implantation. La navigation ne commence qu~une fois l~implantation réalisée et s~effectue en associant la position de l~appareil de forage de roches au système de coordonnées du site de forage.
