ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Arrangement for restricting the transmission of electromagnetic radiation within a predetermined waveband. The arrangement exhibits elements which are placed in the path of the radiation and which are positioned one after the other along that path. In one or more spaces situated between them, said elements contain one or more gases which exhibit a considerable absorption capacity with regard to the radiation within the predetermined waveband. The invention restricts the transmission of electromagnetic radiation through a window or other structure and thus improves its thermal insulation properties.
