ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE An arrangement for supporting a vehicle chair is disclosed comprising a support structure and a supporting member for the seat and backrest of the chair. The supporting member is resiliently carried by the support structure and comprises two supporting arms spaced apart in the transverse direction of the arrangement and movable in vertical planes located ex- ternally to the support structure on opposite sides thereof. The supporting member is mounted for adjustment in a sub- stantially vertical direction on another supporting member, in its turn resiliently carried by the supporting structure and comprising two supporting arms which are spaced apart in the transverse direction of the arrangement and are movable in vertical planes located between the support structure and the supporting arms of the firstmentioned supporting member. The supporting arms of the firstmentioned supporting member are mounted for displacement in a substantially vertical direction on the supporting arms of said other supporting member. Means are provided for releasably locking the firstmentioned supporting member in its adjusted position to said other supporting member.
