The invention relates to an arrangement in an oil filter (1) for a machine with a centralised lubrication system, for example an internal combustion engine. The filter comprises a cylindrical container enclosing a filter material, the container having a cylindrical wall (1a) and two ends (1b, 1c). Of the latter one end (1b) is adapted for connecting the filter to the centralised lubrication system. The other end (1c) is openable like a cover in order to permit changing of used filter material (2). A seal (7) is provided between the cylindrical wall (1a) and the periphery of the openable end (1c) together with means (1b, 1b2, 6, 1c1) for keeping the openable end fixed under a certain pressure against the seal (7). The seal (7) comprises a circular plate (7b) operatively connected to the openable end (1c), the periphery of the plate supporting a sealing gasket of U-shaped cross section and the apex of the U-shape pointing outwards from the centre of the plate (7b).

L'invention concerne un agencement de filtre à huile (1) destiné à une machine possédant un système central de lubrification, par exemple un moteur à combustion interne. Ce filtre comporte un contenant cylindrique renfermant un matériau filtrant, et présentant une paroi cylindrique (1a) ainsi que deux extrémités (1b, 1c). L'une de ces extrémités (1b) est conçue pour relier le filtre au système de lubrification central, l'autre (1c) pouvant s'ouvrir comme un couvercle, de manière à permettre le changement du matériau filtrant usagé (2). On a monté un joint (7) entre la paroi cylindrique (1a) et la périphérie de l'extrémité ouvrable (1c), de même que des moyens (1b, 1b2, 6, 1c1) servant à maintenir fixe l'extrémité ouvrable, par application d'une certaine pression contre le joint (7). Ce joint (7) comprend une plaque circulaire (7a), reliée de manière fonctionnelle à l'extrémité ouvrable (1c), et dont la périphérie soutient un joint d'étanchéité de section en U, le sommet de ce U pointant vers l'extérieur à partir du centre de la plaque (7b).
