ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The constriction plate in a fluidized bed incinerator is pivotally mounted for swinging movement down into the windbox. Thereby, the fluidized bed can be rapidly emptied into the windbox, whereby heat sensitive members in the incinerator will not be damaged by the hot refractory particles in the bed.
