An arrangement in the wet end of a paper machine for transferring web from the former to the press section. The former comprises a twin wire zone defined by an upper wire loop (11) and a lower wire loop (10), after which the web (W) follows the upper wire (11) to a transfer point, in which it is transferred from the underside of the upper wire (11) onto the top side of a weave (22) included in the press section. At the end of the twin wire zone, a suction box (17) is provided inside the upper wire loop (11) and facing it, an open roll (18) inside the lower wire loop (10). The lid (17') of the suction box is at least in a run situation curved so that the tension of the upper wire (11) reduces the normal force between the wire (11) and the lid (17') caused by the underpressure of the suction box (17). The underpressure of the suction box (17) keeps the web mainly off from the roll (18) and the lower wire (10) while being adhered to the underside of the upper wire (11) and conforming to the curved shape of the cover (17') of the suction box. In association with the suction box (17) and/or the roll (18) are provided also members (17a, 18') for making the web follow the lower wire (10) in a break situation for conducting it to the broke handling system.

L'invention concerne un dispositif pour partie humide de machine à papier, destiné à transférer la bande du formeur à la section des presses. Ledit formeur comprend une zone à double toile définie par une boucle supérieure (11) et une boucle inférieure (10), zone après laquelle la bande (W) suit la toile supérieure (11) jusqu'à un point de transfert, où elle est transférée du côté face toile de la toile supérieure (11) au côté supérieur d'un treillis (22) faisant partie de la section des presses. A l'extrémité de la zone à double toile, se trouvent une caisse aspirante (17) disposée à l'intérieur de la boucle supérieure (11) de manière à faire face à cette dernière, et un rouleau ouvert (18) disposé à l'intérieur de la boucle inférieure (10). Le couvercle (17') de la caisse aspirante se trouve au moins dans une configuration de course courbe, de manière que la tension de la toile supérieure (11) réduise la force normale entre ladite toile (11) et le couvercle (17') provoquée par la sous-pression de la caisse aspirante (17). La sous-pression de la caisse aspirante (17) maintient la bande essentiellement à l'écart du rouleau (18) et de la toile inférieure (10) tout en la faisant coller au côté toile de la toile supérieure (11) et en lui faisant épouser la forme courbe du couvercle (17') de la caisse aspirante. En outre, la caisse aspirante (17) et/ou le rouleau (18) sont associés à des éléments (17a, 18') qui obligent la bande à suivre la toile inférieure (10), à l'état cassé, de manière à l'amener au système de manutention des cassés.
