ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: There is disclosed an arrangement for the installation or removal of a mouth ring comprised of mouth-ring seg- ments and provided on the mouth of a tiltable metallur- gical vessel. In order to provide an arrangement which enables a simple and quick installation and removal of a mouth ring, even if the converter is surrounded by a closed chamber and only difficult to accede, a car is displaceable below the metallurgical vessel tilted in the upside-down position. The car is provided with a platform liftable and lowerable by a lifting device and including at least one support for a mouth-ring segment, which is displaceable and pivotable in the plane of the platform.
